INSA SALEM STOREFRONT

For INSA’s Salem location, Oxbow engaged in the adaptive reuse of an auto garage, reinforcing it against wind loads, thoroughly insulating it, and filling it with carefully considered, finely crafted millwork.

The arches provide indirect, ambient lighting, conceal the air supply diffusers, and nod to the rhythm of openings on the front facade of the building, a remnant from its previous use. The counters were built from laminations of steam-bent ash, integrated with precisely cut and bent glass.
