    Position Overview
    This is a position at a growing and successful worker-owned cooperative. We are looking to hire
    a skilled lead carpenter with strong trim work experience to provide guidance and supervision to
    the project team involved in construction projects. The lead carpenter’s responsibilities include
    assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, hands on work for tasks requiring more skill,
    and regularly inspecting work done by the other site workers to ensure that it meets acceptable
    standards. You should also be able to help the project manager solve project-related problems.

    Job Duties

    ● Ensure all workers and subcontractors are working in a safe manner and using appropriate
    PPE.
    ● Assigning and explaining tasks to the other site workers.
    ● Checking all work on site.
    ● Assisting the project management team in ordering materials needed for projects.
    ● Supervising the company’s site workers, unskilled and semi-skilled workers, and
    subcontractors.
    ● Performing all carpentry duties required, including both rough and finish carpentry.
    ● Ensure all work conforms to applicable building codes.
    ● Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team.
    ● Effectively communicate with project manager, office manager, site/shop workers, vendors,
    other contractors, and clients
    ● Provide schedule related updates to the project management team.
    ● Report to the Project Manager for all issues
    ● Be adaptable and capable of keeping up with quick, frequent changes
    ● Provide excellent customer service
    ● Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
    ● Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and
    information
    ● Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting
    completion of the job to the appropriate person
    ● Local travel to job sites, municipal offices, vendors, etc required.
    ● Follow all CDC, state, and local guidance for COVID-19 best practices


    Qualifications
    Required

    • 15+ years site carpentry experience, frame to finish with an emphasis on trim
      work
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Proven experience in all aspects of residential remodeling and construction.
    • Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
    • The ability to safely operate power tools.
    • The ability to read blueprints.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Strong leadership skills.

    Physical Demands

    Compensation
    ● Full-time, starting at $30-37/hr, depending on certification/licensure. Pay is subject to regular
    review and raises.

    Job Title : Site Installer

    Department: Fabrication/Millwork

    Reports to: Millwork Manager / Construction Manager

As a cooperative, we value all of our workers highly and provide a path to ownership of the company with equal participation in company governance and profit sharing.

    Position Overview
    This is a temporary position at a growing and successful worker-owned cooperative with the strong likelihood of becoming permanent. We are looking for Site Installers to join our team.
    The ideal candidate will have 10 years of relevant experience. Position requires travel, mostly within 2-3 hours driving from Easthampton, MA. Per-diems and mileage reimbursements are provided.

    Our products are custom made from architectural designs and drawings. We are looking for a highly-motivated candidate that is familiar with cabinetry and the millwork industry. You will have the opportunity to work in all aspects of the millwork process: In-shop fabrication, assembly, and installation. Overnight stays may be required if a project is beyond a normal day’s travel.

    Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and with a team, and organization skills are a must.

    Job Duties
    ● Installation of casework, metal work, and architectural millwork with high precision on the job sites
    ● Work respectfully with and around other trades on busy job sites
    ● Coordinate as necessary with project managers, construction supervisor, and millwork crew
    ● Maintain a presentable and professional appearance while on the job
    ● Operate woodworking machines, including saws and milling and sanding machines
    ● Ensure that products meet industry standards and project specifications, adjusting as necessary
    ● Select the proper cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools for completing a job
    ● Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products
    ● Follow all CDC, state, and local guidance for COVID-19 best practices.

    Qualifications
    Required

    • Experience building and installing millwork
    • Ability to read shop drawings and architectural plans
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Reliable transportation to shop and/or job sites
    • Experience working with general contractors, architects, and site supervisors.
    • Knowledge of general construction site rules and procedures

    Bonus
    ● Experience designing millwork.
    ● Valid driver license and clean driving record
    ● Experience in 3D modeling.

    ● Frequent lifting from 41 lbs , assisted

    Compensation
    ● Full-time, starting at $26-$36/hr, depending on experience. Pay is subject to regular review and raises.
